Listen | Learn | Engage | Be Genuine

Posted by Lyndit On April - 23 - 2010

All kinds of neat nerdy equipment around my office ready and waiting to be used. Downloaded Audacity, and Lame MP3 Encoder plugged in my mic and  in less time than it takes to eat three ice cream drumsticks I had created a basic podcast. The basic idea of Podcasting is to record audio on a specific topic to be reviewed by the greater community. Gives a chance for people to get to know the presenter a on a different level.

Playing around with Audacity I decided to walk my talk and post a genuine first attempt at creating a podcast. Listen to my first Podcast!

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

If you have tips about removing noise, or other tips about Audacity please share!

Few Things I Learned:

  1. Speak a little slower
  2. Probably better to have at least a basic script written before going for it
  3. When in doubt “Google it”
  4. WordPress Audio player is a must have

Any specific topics you would like to hear a podcast on?

Audacity is awesome! It’s free and great. Needless to say, it’s replaced two of my ‘Pay’ apps.
